Roosters Demolish the Warriors unconvincingly

The Sydney Roosters have kept their good mid-season form going with a comfortable 24-0 victory over a very poor New Zealand Warriors side in front of 16,301 fans at a sunny Allianz Stadium.

The opening half was a tale of two halves with the Warriors taking control of the field position but they couldn't complete their sets with just three completed sets out of their first ten.

The game then started to turn towards the Roosters and it took a good piece of vision from Jake Friend to put a kick in behind the Warriors defensive line with Aiden Guerra scoring.

The second try summed up the dominance that the Roosters were beginning to grow when Blake Ferguson steamrolled his way to score where he left Solomone Kata in his wake to score in the corner. Although this was the only try Ferguson scored it was the sign of the dominance that the Roosters centre was going to have over his rookie counterpart.

The final try of the first half for the Roosters came through Roger Tuivasa-Sheck after he outjumped Sam Tomkins to grab the ball and score under the posts and after Maloney's conversion it was 18-0 at half time.

The second half will never be seen in the top halves of the season with just one try to the Roosters but it didn't mean they stopped creating opportunities they just managed to butcher at least six other efforts.

The Roosters only points of the second half came after just three minutes when James Maloney scored after a 50m burst from Michael Jennings down the touchline before an offload that looked to be forward was taken by Maloney who scored.

The Roosters should've then put the Warriors to the sword and they created the opportunites but all the Roosters could come up with was errors and bombed tries.

The bombed tries included an error from Blake Ferguson in a 1 on 1 tackle by Sam Tomkins, Mitchell Pearce flick pass to nobody with the line wide open, countless knock-ons and just some bizarre play.

Next weekend the Warriors head back across the ditch to play Manly whilst the Roosters are starring on Friday Night Football when they play the Tigers.
