Team List Tuesday - Analysis Round 25

Sam Bourke is back with an analysis of all the team list news from Round 25 of the NRL. Keep your finger on the pulse with his list of all the ins and outs, and Supercoach studs and duds.

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Brisbane Broncos
Allianz Stadium - Thursday 7:45pm

1. Alex Johnston 2. Joel Reddy 3. Dylan Walker 4. Kirisome Auva'a 5. Bryson Goodwin 6. Luke Keary 7. Adam Reynolds 8. George Burgess 9. Issac Luke 10. David Tyrrell 11. Glenn Stewart 12. John Sutton 13. Kyle Turner
Interchange: 14. Jason Clark 15. Chris Grevsmuhl 16. Tim Grant 17. Thomas Burgess

Changes from Last Round

In - Luke, Keary, Reddy, Grevsmuhl

Out - Inglis, Carter, McInnes, McQueen

Analysis - The big news for the Rabbitohs is their captain and best player Greg Inglis is out until at least the finals with a knee injury in a dramatic blow. This sees Alex Johnson move to fullback and Joel Reddy comes on to the wing. In better news, hooker Issac Luke returns, along with five eighth Luke Keary. After their loss to the Bulldogs last Friday, if Souths are to finish in the Top 4 then they must defeat Brisbane on Thursday night.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Issac Luke (DNP) returns in a big boost for owners. He is a must in your 17 this week as both Cameron McInnes and Paul Carter have not been named on the bench which should ensure he plays 80 minutes.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky- George Burgess (44) was poor against the Bulldogs failing to back up his man of the match performance against the Cowboys. If Souths are to win against the Broncos a lot will depend on go forward and George will be the key in this department.

1. Darius Boyd 2. Corey Oates 3. Dale Copley 4. Justin Hodges 5. Jordan Kahu 6. Anthony Milford 7. Ben Hunt 8. Sam Thaiday 9. Andrew McCullough 10. Adam Blair 11. Alex Glenn 12. Matt Gillett 13. Corey Parker
Interchange: 14. Jarrod Wallace 15. Mitchell Dodds 16. Jo Ofanhengaue 17. Kodi Nikorima

In - Nil

Out - Nil

Analysis - No changes for the Broncos, despite the late withdrawals of outside backs Lachlan Maranta and Jack Reed who have not been named. Wayne Bennett did mention he may look at resting players, so be sure to check late mail on Thursday. Brisbane are still in the hunt for the Minor Premiership and will want that home final.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Corey Parker (76) is a solid captain choice for those who have confidence in the rest of their 17 this week. Has averaged over 80 points the past 5 rounds.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky- Ben Hunt (60) was strong against the Roosters in a losing side and is a proven performer in big games this season.

Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles v Sydney Roosters
Brookvale Oval - Friday 7:45pm

1. Brett Stewart 2. Jorge Taufua 3. Jamie Lyon 4. Steve Matai 5. Peta Hiku 6. Kieran Foran 7. Daly Cherry-Evans 8. Jake Trbojevic 9. Blake Leary 10. Willie Mason 11. Feleti Mateo 12. Justin Horo 13. Ligi Sao
Interchange: 14. Jesse Sene-Lefao 15. Michael Chee-Kam 16. James Hasson 17. Josh Starling

In - Mason

Out - Ballin

Analysis - Manly were out enthused by a determined Parramatta side in a shock loss at Brookvale Oval. Manly must now rely on the Dragons losing and picking up a huge win in the next fortnight to make the 2015 finals series. Veteran hooker Matt Ballin may have played his last game for the club. Willie Mason returns from his laughable shoulder charge suspension.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Daly Cherry-Evans (52) didn't get too many great attacking stats in the wet last week but if they are to defeat the high flying Roosters he will be pivotal.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky- Jake Trbojevic (65) has been a revelation in the front row for the Sea Eagles and has averaged close to 70 points in the past 5 weeks. Very sneaky move.

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Mitchell Aubusson 4. Blake Ferguson 5. Brendan Elliott 6. James Maloney 7. Jackson Hastings 8. Sam Moa 9. Jake Friend 10. Dylan Napa 11. Boyd Cordner 12. Aidan Guerra 13. Siosiua Taukeiaho
Interchange: 14. Matt McIlwrick 15. Isaac Liu 16. Kane Evans 17. Suaia Matagi 18. Willie Manu

Changes from Last Round

In - Moa, McIllwrick, Matagi, Manu (extended bench)

Out - Warea-Hargraves, Jennings, Pearce

Analysis - The Roosters put on one of their bravest performances in recent times to leap into first place on the NRL Ladder. The win however came at a cost with front row enforcer Jared Warea-Hargraves ruled out for the season, in a devastating blow. Mitchell Pearce has also been ruled out until at least the finals with a hamstring injury. To make matters worse, NSW centre Michael Jennings has been suspended for the clash against the Sea Eagles.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (64) was asked by the coach this week to slow down and not do so many hit ups and keep himself fresher for the attacking plays. Is as just a sensible captain option as Paul Gallen and Corey Parker due to his workrate which is phenomenal for a fullback.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky- Boyd Cordner (72) was outstanding last week and has really found form in the past month. Has averaged over 66pts in the past 5 weeks and only owned by 6%.

Parramatta Eels v Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
Pirtek Stadium - Saturday 3:00pm

1. Reece Robinson 2. Semi Radradra 3. William Hopoate 4. Ryan Morgan 5. Bureta Faraimo 6. Corey Norman 7. Luke Kelly 8. Junior Paulo 9. Isaac De Gois 10. Tim Mannah 11. Manu Ma'u 12. Tepai Moeroa 13. David Gower
Interchange: 14. Pauli Pauli 15. Darcy Lussick 16. Daniel Alvaro 17. Peni Terepo

In - Mannah

Out - Paulo

Analysis - Parramatta stunned Manly at Brookvale Oval with a grinding win. The Eels welcome back their leader Tim Mannah, with Joseph Paulo making way. The Eels finish the season with 2 home game in a row and will want to finish strong.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Semi Radradra (83) is just unstoppable and I can't see him not scoring tries in the next 2 weeks at Parramatta Stadium. Will be neck and neck with Curtis Rona for Top Tryscorer so won't lack motivation. Great replacement for those looking to replace Greg Inglis.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky - There are no other Eels players worth considering at this point.

1. Michael Gordon 2. Sosaia Feki 3. Gerard Beale 4. Ricky Leutele 5. Valentine Holmes 6. Jack Bird 7. Jeff Robson 8. Chris Heighington 9. Michael Ennis 10. Sam Tagataese 11. Luke Lewis 12. Wade Graham 13. Paul Gallen
Interchange: 14. Matt Prior 15. Anthony Tupou 16. Tinirau Arona 17. Jayson Bukuya

Changes from Last Round

In - Nil

Out - Nil

Analysis - The Sharks are a real shot at a Top 4 spot and will be wary of slipping up against Parramatta who all but ended Manly's season last week. While they got the 2 points against the Tigers, Shane Flanagan would not have been thrilled with the defensive effort last Saturday.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Paul Gallen (52) had to leave the field with a hamstring complaint, which could see him play less minutes than usual. He is still in your starting side but be wary of giving him the captain role this week.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky - Jack Bird (71) continues his second wind and is worthy of a run this week against the Eels who aren't the best defensive side in the competition.

Newcastle Knights v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
Hunter Stadium - Saturday 5:30pm

1. Jake Mamo 2. Nathan Ross 3. Sione Mata'utia 4. Dane Gagai 5. Akuila Uate 6. Kurt Gidley 7. Tyrone Roberts 8. Kade Snowden 9. Adam Clydsdale 10. Korbin Sims 11. Beau Scott 12. Tariq Sims 13. Jeremy Smith
Interchange: 14. Tyler Randell 15. Joseph Tapine 16. Chris Houston 17. Clint Newton

In - Scott

Out - Mataora

Analysis - Newcastle pulled off one of the upsets of the season against the Storm in Melbourne on Monday night. The Knights face the Bulldogs on Old Boys Day at Hunter Stadium where their record is very good. Beau Scott returns in a big boost to the forward pack.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Kade Snowden (58) continues to pick up solid scores and is playing decent minutes, can go big if he gets some attacking stats to go with his solid workrate.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky- There are no players of relevance in the Newcastle side at this point.

1. Brett Morris 2. Curtis Rona 3. Josh Morris 4. Timoteo Lafai 5. Sam Perrett 6. Moses Mbye 7. Trent Hodkinson 8. Sam Kasiano 9. Damien Cook 10. James Graham 11. Josh Jackson 12. Frank Pritchard 13. Greg Eastwood
Interchange: 14. Lloyd Perrett 15. Shaun Lane 16. David Klemmer 17. Tim Browne 19. Danny Fualalo

Changes from Last Round

In - Nil

Out - Nil

Analysis - Canterbury have been crunched in the premiership betting after they thrashed the Rabbitohs on Friday night. Sam Kasiano has now put together 3 Man of the Match awards in a row. Rookie hooker, Damien Cook retains his spot in the side after an eye catching performance against the Bunnies. Josh Reynolds and Aiden Tolman have been given another week.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Brett Morris (73) has been one of the form fullbacks and is a must have this week.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky- Frank Pritchard (61) has been in outstanding form and has averaged over 65pts in the last month. Very brave point of difference.

Melbourne Storm v North Queensland Cowboys
AAMI Park - Saturday 7:30pm

1. Cameron Munster 2. Marika Koroibete 3. Will Chambers 4. Kurt Mann 5. Matt Duffie 6. Blake Green 7. Cooper Cronk 8. Jesse Bromwich 9. Cameron Smith 10. Tim Glasby 11. Kevin Proctor 12. Tohu Harris 13. Kenneath Bromwich
Interchange: 14. Ryan Hinchcliffe 15. Felise Kaufusi 16. Nelson Asofa-Solomona 17. Jordan McLean

Changes from Last Round

In - Nil

Out - Nil

Analysis - Melbourne had one of their worst performances in years when they were totally outclassed by cellar dwellers Newcastle. This is now a highly important match for the Storm who need to beat the Cowboys to restore some confidence that they can mount a premiership charge.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Cameron Munster (64) has been a machine since replacing Billy Slater at the back and is a great replacement for those who own Greg Inglis.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky - Cooper Cronk (23) was poor against the Knights, however he generally doesn't put back to back poor performances together very often.

1. Lachlan Coote 2. Kyle Feldt 3. Justin O'Neill 4. Kane Linnett 5. Antonio Winterstein 6. Ray Thompson 7. Johnathan Thurston 8. Matthew Scott 9. Jake Granville 10. Ben Hannant 11. Gavin Cooper 12. Ethan Lowe 13. Jason Taumalolo
Interchange: 14. Rory Kostjasyn 15. John Asiata 16. Scott Bolton 17. Ben Spina

Changes from Last Round

In -Thompson, Bolton, Cooper

Out - Tamou, Morgan, Hess

Analysis - North Queensland have been dealt a horrible double injury blow, with Origin stars James Tamou and Michael Morgan ruled out for an extended period. The Cowboys had a shocking start against the Warriors in New Zealand, but bounced back piling on 50 unanswered points. Gavin Cooper returns to the back row and Ray Thompson takes the #6 jersey from Morgan.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Jonathan Thurston (107) remains a solid captain choice. With Michael Morgan ruled out, this may mean all attacking plays will rest with the skipper, think Daly Cherry-Evans' scores without Kieran Foran.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneakies - Ben Hannant (61) will take over from James Tamou and generally gets through a huge amount of work and should see decent minutes this week.

Wests Tigers v New Zealand Warriors
Campbelltown Stadium - Sunday 2:00pm

1. James Tedesco 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Kevin Naiqama 4. Tim Simona 5. Pat Richards 6. Mitchell Moses 7. Luke Brooks 8. Aaron Woods 9. Robbie Farah 10. Sauaso Sue 11. Curtis Sironen 12. Chris Lawrence 13. Martin Taupau
Interchange: 14. Kyle Lovett 15. Keith Galloway 16. Ava Seumanufagai 17. Dene Halatau 18. Manaia Cherrington

Changes from Last Round

In - Nil

Out - Nil

Analysis - The Wests Tigers are now running last again and will be bursting to get out of the blocks at Campbelltown Stadium to shake off the dreaded wooden spoon looming over their heads. The big question is how will the Robbie Farah saga affect morale?

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - James Tedesco (51) was generally kept in check by the Sharks defence besides a try. Looms as a high risk, high reward captain choice this week.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky- Martin Taupau (70) has been named at lock this week and should play decent minutes. Brave choice though, similar to Frank Pritchard in the risk/reward stakes.

1. Sam Tomkins 2. Matthew Allwood 3. Dominique Peyroux 4. Solomone Kata 5. Jonathan Wright 6. Mason Lino 7. Tuimoala Lolohea 8. Sebastine Ikahihifo 9. Nathan Friend 10. Albert Vete 11. Bodene Thompson 12. Ryan Hoffman 13. Simon Mannering
Interchange: 14. Konrad Hurrell 15. Sione Lousi 16. Charlie Gubb 17. Sam Lisone 18. John Palavi

Changes from Last Round

In - Allwood, Ikahihifo

Out - Maumalo, Lillyman

Analysis - The Warriors exploded out of the blocks last week, lead by their young halves Tuimoala Lolohea and Mason Lino. Unfortunately the Warriors then let in 9 tries. The Warriors have totally thrown in the towel and it's hard to see another win coming at this rate.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Simon Mannering (83) continues to be the most consistent Warriors player and is a key in your starting side this week. Pretty safe captain choice.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky - Bodene Thompson (43) has been named to start and was eased back last week. How he will go without Shaun Johnson on the right will be the big question mark. Great player if you need the numbers.

Gold Coast Titans v St. George Illawarra Dragons
Cbus Super Stadium - Sunday 4:00pm

1. Josh Hoffman 2. David Mead 3. James Roberts 4. Nene Macdonald 5. Kalifa Faifai Loa 6. Daniel Mortimer 7. Kane Elgey 8. Luke Douglas 9. Beau Falloon 10. Nate Myles 11. Agnatius Paasi 12. Dave Taylor 13. Lachlan Burr
Interchange: 14. Matt White 15. Eddy Pettybourne 16. Nathaniel Peteru 17. Kierran Moseley 18. Brad Tighe

Changes from Last Round

In - Moseley, Burr

Out - Bird, James

Analysis - The Titans lose key players in Greg Bird and Ryan James against the Dragons. The Gold Coast were awful last week, it just happened that Canberra were much worse. The form of Kane Elgey has been the recent highlight in a forgettable year.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Greg Bird (2) is out for the season, tearing his groin from the kickoff! He was the only Titans player that may have been of interest.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneakies - James Roberts (27) has his moments but hard to see the tries coming given the Titans form.

1. Josh Dugan 2. Dylan Farrell 3. Euan Aitken 4. Peter Mata'utia 5. Jason Nightingale 6. Gareth Widdop 7. Benji Marshall 8. Leeson Ah Mau 9. Mitch Rein 10. Mike Cooper 11. Tyson Frizell 12. Joel Thompson 13. Trent Merrin
Interchange: 14. Ben Creagh 15. Mark Ioane 16. Craig Garvey 17. Jack de Belin 18. Justin Hunt 20. Eto Nabuli 25. George Rose

Changes from Last Round

In - Nightingale, Thompson

Out - Hunt, Marketo

Analysis - The Dragons were far from impressive but got the job done against Penrith at WIN Stadium. Experienced winger Jason Nightingale returns, along with Joel Thompson in a boost for their finals chances. St George can lock in a finals spot with a win on the Gold Coast.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Trent Merrin (73) has returned to the #13 jersey and has been getting very solid minutes (about time). With the Dragons needing a win, you would suspect Paul McGregor would be keen for Merrin to be on the park as much as possible getting the offloads away.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky- Gareth Widdop (104) has been high risk, high reward this season. If you are looking to make up ground on your opponent and think the Dragons will lift then he is worth a punt.

Canberra Raiders v Penrith Panthers
GIO Stadium - Monday 7:00pm

1. Jack Wighton 2. Edrick Lee 3. Jarrod Croker 4. Brenko Lee 5. Sisa Waqa 6. Blake Austin 7. Sam Williams 8. Frank Paul Nuuausala 9. Josh Hodgson 10. David Shillington 11. Josh Papalii 12. Jarrad Kennedy 13. Shaun Fensom
Interchange: 14. Kurt Baptiste 15. Luke Bateman 16. Paul Vaughan 17. Shannon Boyd

Changes from Last Round

In - Brenko Lee

Out - Leilua

Analysis - Canberra continue to struggle, with Ricky Stuart blaming the loss on the loss the week before…makes sense. The Raiders have a woeful record at Canberra Stadium this season but play their final home game and surely owe it to their fans who will brave the freezing temperatures to support them. Joey Leilua returned from suspension for a shoulder charge last week and then decided to do it again and is replaced by promising youngster Brenko Lee.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Shaun Fensom (47) came from the field with a head injury early and was again replaced late for rookie Luke Bateman. Hard to say if he will play the full game here.

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky - Jarrod Croker (60) is the smoking gun in this match if the Raiders fire. Will score tries but may top the missed tackle count to go with it.

1. William Smith 2. Josh Mansour 3. Waqa Blake 4. Lewis Brown 5. David Simmons 6. Apisai Koroisau 7. Jamie Soward 8. Sam McKendry 9. James Segeyaro 10. Regan Campbell-Gillard 11. Bryce Cartwright 12. Tyrone Peachey 13. Isaah Yeo
Interchange: 14. Tupou Sopoaga 15. Jeremy Latimore 16. Leilani Latu 17. Sika Manu

Changes from Last Round

In - Blake

Out - Taylor

Analysis - Penrith couldn't get the job done against the Dragons and again Ivan Cleary has shuffled his starting side around. Elijah Taylor is out for the season, with Isaah Yeo shifting to lock and Waqa Blake returning in the centres. Apisai Koroisau will start at five-eighth which sees James Segeyaro promoted to hooker, Sika Manu has been named to start from the bench and Tyrone Peachey has been named to start in the back row.

Supercoach Semi Final Studs - Bryce Cartwright (67) is still getting good minutes and is a must start in judging by his minutes in the past fortnight…please Supercoach gods!

Supercoach Semi Final Sneaky - James Segeyaro (25) pulled out his lowest score of the year….but now has been named to start! Will he start? Tyrone Peachey (67) has been sensational and has a huge ceiling, certainly not the worst option. Please note Ivan Cleary hates Supercoach and this is the last game of the round.
