Roosters crow as Tooves farewells Brookie

The Sydney Roosters have spoiled Geoff Toovey's farewell with a 46-10 win over the Manly Sea Eagles which also ended the Sea Eagles finals chances for 2015.

The opening half was an excellent one for the Roosters who raced out to a 16-0 lead at Brookvale, thanks to some poor wide defence on the right from the Manly Sea Eagles.

The opening two tries went the way of Brendan Elliott who found himself in open space out wide both times when the Manly defenders rushed up and Elliott found himself strolling to the line to score twice.

The third try for the Roosters was one of good fortune when Aidan Guerra got a second kick in off a Jackson Hastings grubber and scored to send the score out to 16-0.

Jamie Lyon got Manly on the board after a fantastic grounding and body contusion to keep himself inside the field of play and ground the ball just inside the corner post and after his conversion it was 16-6 at Half Time.

The second half was a one way street with the Roosters scoring 30 points which included a second half hattrick for Daniel Tupou.

The second 40 started with an early try to Brendan Elliott to get his hattrick and that just signalled the one way traffic that was headed down Brookvale Oval, which was lead by RTS setting up some great plays.

Daniel Tupou scored the next two tries in two great plays, first was a great AFL like leap, catch and dive over the line to score before his second try came from a blistering run down the touchline to score.

Tom Symonds got a second half try for the Sea Eagles but didn't mean a lot with another try for Tupou and one for Isaac Liu right on the stroke of full time running the score out to 46-10.

Next week the Roosters take on arch rivals the Rabbitohs meanwhile the Sea Eagles take on Cronulla at Remondis.
