ANZAC Test Preview

The smell of rep footy is in the air with the arrival of the 2007 ANZAC Test match, a game which has always been considered a little premature on the rugby league calendar.

Like the last five, New Zealand will be sniffing out a victory for the first time since 1998, when the game was held in Auckland. The Kiwis have never won an ANZAC Test match in Australia, and in fact, have looked anything but like winning.

For the third season in a row it will be played in Brisbane, a deserving stadium for such a match. And for the first time I think New Zealand can probably consider themselves a relatively good chance at winning, despite the fact that the home team has always prevailed.. At the very least, this squad will develop as next year
