Bulldogs defeat Titans to post first win of 2007

The Bulldogs have finally broken their duck for 2007 with an ugly 22-6 victory over the Gold Coast Titans in front of a small crowd of 14,675 at Homebush today. The Bulldogs held a tight 6-2 lead at half time.

The match was scoreless for 22 minutes until Preston Campbell landed a penalty goal for a Bulldogs player slowing down the play the ball.

The Bulldogs scored the only try of the first half after a very questionable video referee decision allowing a Willie Tonga try after it appeared he had obstructed Scott Prince allowing Andrew Ryan to make a break.

After half time the match was all the Bulldogs. Eight minutes after the break Trent Cutler crossed out wide, and the try went unconverted leaving the Bulldogs with a 10-2 lead, and leaving Hazem El Masris goal kicking streak at 29.
