NRL Finals Week 1 Judiciary Report

As we enter Week 2 of the NRL Finals Series, several players will be missing due to suspensions handed down by the NRL Match Review Committee.

Tariq Sims (North Queensland Cowboys) is facing the longest stint on the sideline with a Grade 3 Shoulder Charge seeing him ban for possibly 7 matches. An early plea will see him miss just 5 games.

Anthony Watmough and Jamie Lyon have both been charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Throw charge (pictured below) for their lifting tackle on Greg Inglis. Inglis no stranger to being dumped on his head with several situations in the last few seasons. Anthony Watmough has 50% loading on his charge for prior offences which gives him a possible 2 game suspension. Meanwhile, Lyon can play this weekend with an early plea.

Four players will be available immediately this weekend with Bulldogs pair, Josh Morris and David Klemmer not citied for a 'chicken wing' tackle and high contact incidents respectively (Pictured below). Roosters stormer, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was cleared by the Match Review Committee for any high contact on Brent Kite. Billy Slater and Kieran Foran have also escaped suspension after being placed on report.
