Tuesday's Expert - NRL 2013 Round 25

We look back at the penultimate 25th Round of the 2013 NRL Premiership, and see how the Player of the Year standings are tracking with just a week of matches left. Also features a look at the ladder after the weekend.

Things became a little clearer in the race to the finish line this weekend, with the Newcastle Knights all-but securing a finals berth to kick the round off by defeating Brisbane and knocking them out of the finals race. Canberra and Penrith joined the finals scrapheap with big losses to the Warriors and Bulldogs respectively. The Warriors' victory kept them in with a shot at 8th spot, which is currently held by the Cowboys who continued their hot streak with a win over Cronulla. The Titans also kept themselves alive and put the Roosters' minor premiership hopes under threat with a win in Sydney on Sunday, while the Sea Eagles reeled in the Storm with an emphatic Saturday night win at Brookvale. It all sets up an exciting final round with plenty to play for across all eight games!

Below you'll find the results, player of the match points and match details for each fixture, plus a look at the NRL ladder after Round 25.
