Tuesday's Expert - NRL 2013 Round 26

We look back at the final Round of the 2013 NRL Premiership, and see how the Player of the Year standings are tracking as we head into the 2013 Finals Series.

The regular season concluded with a few surprising results - three of the final top eight losing their last round fixtures to carry limping form into the Finals. Brisbane upset Canterbury to kick things off on Thursday night, before the Roosters claimed the minor premiership in front of a record crowd at ANZ Stadium over rivals South Sydney. On Saturday the final eight was decided, with the Warriors and Titans falling at the final hurdle, allowing the Cowboys to relax in the late game, eventually spanking the Tigers to farewell Matty Bowen from Townsville in fine style. Sunday saw the final jockeying for positions - Manly dropped to fourth with a loss to Penrith while the Knights ended the Eels' miserable season to climb back into 7th. The 192nd and final match of the season was completed on Sunday night with Cronulla consigning the Raiders to another embarrassing defeat in the Nation's Capital to grab fifth spot.
